This page gives data on images:

Image size

Images are generally complete scans or generously cropped to allow you maximum flexibility. The comp sample images show the full scan.

Normal images

• At 300 dpi, the image is approximately 300 mm/11.8 inches wide (or high if vertical), which is about A4 or Letter size

Larger custom scans are available. Please contact us for prices and information.

Images ending in -d (e.g. wwva001d)

• At 300 dpi, images ending in -d are approximately 217 mm/8.5 inches wide (or high if vertical)

Resolution

Full images are 300 dots per inch (dpi).

The sample comp images for layout are 96 dpi and are watermarked.

Transparencies have been scanned at high quality with minimal processing.

Images ending in -d are digital originals.

File format

High quality JPEG with minimal compression

When you receive your image, you should save it in TIFF format for processing.

File size

Compressed JPEGS approximately 5 MB
